• 2008 All-Conference USA Candidate
Enters the 2008 season as one of four returning starters in the UH secondary... teams with Kenneth Fontenette to give the Cougars one of the top safety tandems in Conference USA... cautious head-hunter who can break down for the big hit... also talented at covering backs and tight ends in the secondary... should be an honors candidate this fall.
JUNIOR (2007)
Finished third on team with 63 tackles... led all UH players with 11 pass breakups... one of 12 players to start all 13 games... posted three tackles, including 1.5 stops for a loss of five yards, and added a game-high four pass breakups at Conference USA rival Tulane... finished with six tackles, including three solo stops, against Colorado State during the home opener... added two tackles for a loss of five yards with a pass breakup against the Rams... recorded five tackles, including three solo, against C-USA rival East Carolina... finished with six tackles, including two solo stops, at Alabama... led all players with 11 tackles, including four solo stops, against Rice... posted two solo tackles and led all players with four pass breakups at UTEP... recorded nine tackles against SMU... tallied six tackles, including a pair of solo stops, with a 2-yard sack against C-USA rival Marshall. Texas Bowl: Recorded eight tackles, including five solo stops, against TCU... Added a 14-yard sack against the Horned Frogs.
SOPHOMORE (2006)
One of 34 players to play in all 14 games, setting the UH single-season record... ranked fourth on the team with 83 tackles and third with eight pass breakups... stopped Rice's last drive with a 10-yard interception late in the fourth quarter to preserve the Cougars' come-from-behind victory during the season opener... added three solo stops against the Owls... recorded an interception for the second straight game against Tulane during the home opener... finished with three tackles, including two solo, and forced and recovered a fumble against the Green Wave... posted five tackles against Grambling State... recorded six tackles, including two solo, and added a tackle for a 1-yard loss against Oklahoma State... tallied four solo tackles at Miami (Fla.)... made five tackles, including four solo, and broke up two passes against Louisiana-Lafayette... recorded three solo tackles at Southern Miss... made eight tackles, including five solo, with one for a 3-yard loss against UCF... led the Cougars with nine tackles, including eight solo, while adding two tackles for a loss of three yards and a pass breakup against Tulsa... made four tackles, including three solo, with a pass breakup at SMU to help the Cougars clinch the C-USA West Division... recorded eight tackles, including six solo, with one tackle for a 3-yard loss and a pair of pass breakups at Memphis to help the Cougars clinch home-field advantage for the C-USA Championship game. C-USA Championship Game: Led all Cougar defenders with 12 tackles, including five solo stops and one for a loss of a yard against Southern Miss... broke up a game-high two passes against the Golden Eagles. AutoZone Liberty Bowl: Made nine tackles, including six solo stops and added a 3-yard sack against South Carolina.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2005)
Appeared in 10 games, including each of the last eight... made his first collegiate appearance as a reserve in the season opener against Oregon. Fort Worth Bowl: Registered an unassisted tackle against Kansas.
FRESHMAN (2004)
Sat out as a redshirt.
TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped for head coach Tim Holt... helped lead THS to a playoff appearance and a 8-3 record... named Defensive Player-of-the-Year... selected First-Team All-District for two seasons... also picked up First-Team All-Williamson County... selected Second-Team All-Central Texas... also participated in basketball and runs track and was Second-Team All-District in hoops.
